FAQ Quick Hit

Sometimes it is difficult to obtain necessary documentation from the ordering doctor`s office within 75 days. What do you recommend we do to facilitate sending the requested records on time?

DME MAC A recommends that suppliers initially keep copies of required documentation in the beneficiary`s chart. This documentation must be available upon request, as stated in the LCD Policies. Suppliers may submit records as soon they are obtained. If the ordering physician is not complying with records requests, the supplier may ask the CERT Coordinator for assistance by calling 323-432-7840.
