DME MAC Cyber Session - Going Green

DME MAC A offers many tools and resources that will contribute significantly to achieving this goal. The focus of this session is to provide information that will assist you in creating a paperless and Eco friendly office. This session will feature web site navigation to help you make better use of the electronic tools that are available and point you to helpful resources. In addition, we will provide an overview of free electronic billing software, the VIPS Provider Inquiry System (VPIQ), Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), and Medicare Remit Easy Print (MREP) Software.
CERT and DME - What DMEPOS Suppliers Need to Know!

Introduction to the Recovery Audit Contractor (RAC)
Presented by: Catherine Till and Eugene Winters, M.D.
Section 302 of the Tax Relief and Health Care Act of 2006 makes the RAC Program permanent and requires the Secretary to expand the program to all 50 states by 2010. Contracts for four permanent RACs have been awarded. Each RAC will be responsible for identifying overpayment and underpayments in approximately 25% of the country. CMS has planned a gradual expansion to all 50 states. This session will provide an overview of the RAC and its planned activities.
Getting It Right the First Time - Clues to Troubleshooting DME MAC Claims

This session provides a basic overview of the general repairs and replacements payment rules and regulations. In addition, billing examples will be provided on common scenarios to identify proper use of HCPCS codes and modifiers as well as how to utilize the claim narrative fields properly. The session will also include some helpful billing tips, FAQs, and reminders to help prevent unnecessary claim denials.
