Education Online

NHIC, Corp. is working to offer our providers a wider variety of methods and technological tools to make education more readily available. Our goals are to provide flexible training that can fit anyone's schedule, and to reduce the amount of travel needed to attend NHIC educational activities.

Education Online includes online tutorials and training courses available on demand, any time of the day. Each course is designed to proceed at your own pace. If you feel you missed something, you can go back and review the information at any time.

• Claim Form CMS-1500 Instructions - This course will provide you with a complete overview of the CMS 1500 Form Instructions. It will also demonstrate how to fill out the form properly and how to find the necessary instructions. This course will take approximately 1 hour to complete.

• Fraud and Abuse - This course will provide you with an overview of the Fraud & Abuse program. It will assist to increase your awareness of integrity issues and prevention of potential fraudulent and abusive practices against Medicare Part B. This course will take approximately 45 minutes to complete.

• Preventive Services - This course will provide an overview of Medicare covered Preventive Services. It will include details regarding each of the services, including coverage requirements, procedure codes, diagnosis criteria, and reimbursement policies. This course will take approximately 30  minutes to complete.

• Provider Enrollment Form Completion - This course will assist you in properly completing the 855 enrollment forms, and submitting the proper documentation. This module includes tips that will help you avoid some of the most common errors that cause delays, or return of your application. This course will take approximately 1 hour to complete.

• Provider Enrollment NPI Troubleshooting- - This module examines the issues providers are experiencing with NPIs, discusses pertinent regulations governing provider enrollment, outline solutions providers can take to correct the problem, and reviews the proper completion of Medicare enrollment forms. This course will take approximately 1 hour to complete.
