Education Online

NHIC, Corp. is working to offer our providers a wider variety of methods and technological tools to make education more readily available. Our goal is to provide flexible training that can fit anyone's schedule, and to reduce the amount of travel needed to attend NHIC educational activities.

Education Online includes online tutorials and training courses which are available on demand, any time of the day. Each item is designed to allow you to proceed at your own pace. If you feel you missed something, you can go back and review the information again at any time.

Note: The NHIC, Corp. Outreach & Education team plans to develop Web Based Trainings. Once these materials have been developed they will be posted to this page, and the provider community will be alerted regarding their completion by a NHIC J14 Part B MAC ListServ message. If you are not yet a subscriber to the J14 MAC Part B listserv then you may sign up today.

Educational Programs

NHIC Medicare Outreach and Education has long provided our customers the opportunity to learn about the Medicare program and changes that affect everyone through various educational programs, billing guides, newsletters, and our Web site. NHIC Provider Outreach and Education offers multiple educational teleconferences for the provider community.

NHIC uses a new tool "Virtual Room" for some of our Educational Programs. Virtual Room allows NHIC to provide you with interactive materials for your educational needs. We would like you to make sure this is a pleasant experience the first time using the tool, so please be prepared!

Before the Event:

• Be prepared Test Your Setup! This ensures you have ample time for to contact your Technical Support if you are having any problems.
• Disable any screen savers and popup blockers. Postpone scheduled tasks like software updates, anti-virus scans or backups.
